On the occasion of the 50 year long diplomatic relations between Germany and Israel, the project IMAGINARY Israel by the Mathematisches Forschungsinstitut Oberwolfach (MFO) was launched. It receives funding from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and is organized within the Research in Germany campaign of the BMBF, with the aim of strengthening the traditionally very good mathematical research collaborations between the two countries.

The project consists of two mathematics exhibitions for the general public and a summer school and a workshop mainly for young mathematicians from Germany and Israel. The summer school was hosted at the Department of Mathematics at the University of Kaiserslautern from September 7, 2015 to September 11, 2015.

The workshop will be hosted at the Bar-Ilan University in Ramat Gan from January 11, 2016 to January 15, 2016 (arrival, January 10; departure January 16).
Unfortunately, due to our sources of funding we are only able to provide financial support to a restricted number of invited participants from Germany.
