Our official policy
Policy of Kohorta
This policy was written because we ought to have one. We didn't need it
at all since the order was founded. The only "official" act is that our leader
posts membership requests to our board and waits for a week if someone objects.
There are not many decisions to be taken, and if there is any, we normally find
a consensus.
If all you want to do in this MUD is gaining exp, killing others and
stealing equipment from them and you are searching for a gang because you
like wars, go away. That is none of our business.
Don't be afraid, we also want to get experience. We're not just sitting
around, smiling at each other and talking.
But we believe that it is useful and fun to be part of a smaller community
in this world, a community of people who can trust in one another and who
are sharing the fun and annoyance of living in this realm.
Kohorta should be more than a pack of selfish experience-hunters with
common enemies! (NO offence to other orders!!!)
Well, enough talking, here are our guide-lines:
- you don't have to like other members, but you should respect them
and help them if they ask you.
- you should share your knowledge with all members, if you know new areas,
solutions of quests, where to find objects...
- respect the others' property! Ask if you want to have equipment, don't
take it! And if you are asked and that object isn't unique, you should
give it or at least help to get it.
- if there is an auction of rare equipment you already have, think of the
others and buy it, being refunded should be no problem.
- being part of a community doesn't mean you always have to be together,
feel free to group with others and to spread our principles throughout
the realm
- help lower levels! Life can be rather frustrating for lower levels,
so help them whenever you have spare time and hereby show them that
cooperation is better than egoism. Perhaps they level faster than you
and you can need their help later...
- if someone asks you for help and really needs it, you should have a
VERY good reason to refuse.
- NO wars, playerkilling, playerstealing, becoming bloodthirsty.
- the leader can make ANY decision about punishments, new members
and so on. If no other member objects, this decision is accepted,
else the majority of the members is needed to make it invalid.
- A new leader may be elected by the majority of the members.
- Remember: Kohorta means cohort, that is, don't forget it, a
Roman military unit. Try to behave in that way. You are no cowboys or Rambos, but the
protectors of your families and the strong arm of the empire. Try to bring some
Pax Romana to this MUD.
