Press Reports

BioMIP has received significant attention in press reports, both because of its work towards engineering the first artificial chemical cells and because it is bridging the gap between computers, chemistry and biology. The work is covered in the press also because artificial cells are helping to redefine our understanding of life in the context of possible life forms and because of its significance for understanding the origin of life and of increasingly complex natural systems. The work is also interesting to the press as a key example of the current nexus of the three fields IT, nanotechnolgoy and biotechnology and because of its technological potential.
