| Official Choir of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, named for its home in the Mormon
Tabernacle in Salt Lake City. Its history begins with the Mormon settlements in the Great Basin and the
completion of the old Tabernacle in 1851. Performed at four presidential inaugurations (1965, 1969, 1981, 1989) and other national occasions in the second half of the 20th century. From 1935 to 1957, J(oseph) Spencer Cornwall served as its conductor. |
