I am a Professor for Automatic Control at TU Dortmund University . Before, I was a Assistant Professor for Encrypted Control at Paderborn University and a Lecturer in the Automatic Control Group of Prof. Daniel Quevedo. My work in Paderborn was preceded by postdoctoral research activities in the Automatic Control and Systems Theory Group at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum and in the Control Group at the University of Oxford, where I primarily worked with Prof. Mark Cannon. I received a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Ruhr-Universität Bochum in 2014 under the supervision of Prof. Martin Mönnigmann.

My research interests include encrypted control (homomorphic encryption, multi-party computation), networked control (cloud-based, multi-agent systems), optimal control (linear and nonlinear MPC, explicit MPC, event-triggered MPC, CLQR, time-optimal control), constrained control (invariant sets, stabilizability, controllability), robust control (robust invariant sets, robust MPC), sampled-data systems (constraint satisfaction), global optimization (convex underestimators), and scientific computing (interval arithmetic, automatic differentation). Applications include robots swarms, smart grids, steam / wind turbines, and geothermal power plants.
