In order to describe the signaling pathways underlying predator induced plasticity, I use RNAseq to obtain a first general insight into the transcriptional profiling underlying predator induced plasticity. I am now describing the spatial distribution of differentially expressed genes with the help of probe based fluorescent RNA detection. This is always complimented by protein-based research, as not every RNA is processed to a protein. Therefore, all obtained results, are being investigated also on the protein level and in vivo neurophysiological assays.
