Tarik Abduzhalim graduated from the Ruhr University in Chemistry and then completed a Masters Degree in Chemistry under the joint supervision of John S. McCaskill, Patrick Wagler and Nicolas Plumeré. He worked as a student assistant in BioMIP between 2010 and 2014.
