Carla Verhaelen received her PhD in the area of supramolecular chemistry. She joined the BioMIP Team in 2007 from the institute for organic chemistry at the University Duisburg-Essen and has worked for the PACE and ECCell projects developing chemical systems towards artificial cells together with our experimental partners. She had a PACE project travelling postdoc fellowship and devoted her efforts primarily to the chemical application of electronic microfluidics for chemistry in PACE . She is now leading a research group with Hagleitner in Austria.
